Juan Manuel Fangio was regarded by many as the greatest Formula One driver of all time, with a record 5 Formula 1 World Championship titles to his name. Between 1950 and 1958 Fangio competed in 51 Grand Prix, winning 24, along with 28 pole positions and 23 fastest laps, totalling a career 245 points.
In his later years Fangio was asked about the talent of today’s drivers in which the great man said “In my day it was 75 percent car and mechanic, 25 percent driver and luck. Today it’s 95 percent car"
